Customer Support Specialist

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Working the Northbridge Manager, the Customer Support Specialist assists with all aspects relating to client relations for current and potential clients.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Conduct client surveys

  • Follow up with clients upon completion of projects or key tasks

  • Provide marketing assistance including social media

  • Provide billing process assistance

  • Assist with review and correction of client documentation

  • Track and document project costs

  • Prepare and review client invoicing

  • Participate in local chamber of commerce events

  • Find and qualify potential sales opportunities

  • Assist with contract management

  • Assist with purchasing for projects and tasks

  • Other duties may be assigned.

 

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma required with an associate degree preferred. At least two years of customer service experience is preferred. Sales experience is a plus.

 

 

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Must have good communication skills, including phone, written, and in-person communication

  • Must have good organizational skills

  • Must be proficient in the use of technology including computers, software and printers

  • Must be proficient in social media

  • Must be motivated to provide excellent customer service

 

 

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

Applicant must have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Windows computers, Microsoft Office applications (2016, 2019), business phone systems, social media sites such as Facebook and Instagram, and be familiar with the Southern Illinois area.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to drive, sit at a desk for prolonged periods of time, walk and climb stairs, speak on a telephone, and work longer than 8 hours per day when needed.

 

 

SUMMARY:

For Customer Support Specialist we are looking for a highly motivated individual who enjoys interacting with clients and is driven to meet their needs in balance with the needs of the company. They should be highly organized and have the ability to learn new processes and software quickly. They must be comfortable in groups of potential clients and be willing to speak in public if needed.

 

Training will be provided on specific company client tracking software.
